According to a skit on Saturday Night Live (NBC, 4/14/01) the theme music to 2001 is "Thus Spake Zarathushtra" by Strauss. Is this true? I had always thought it was an original piece.

I have that song thing for the opening wav file on my computer and it is sooo cool.. my back ground pops up the second that occurs... If you want cool computer noises 2001 wavs are good for the reason that HAL makes an error message for everything..
