The CGI when Spidy jumps from building to building, (with and without the costume through out the whole movie).

Re: What makes Spiderman so good?

Well, I am a big spider-man fan , and i absolutely hated this movie. It was, like Ivanhoe said, mediocre, and I can only hope that the sequels will be better. Although the'yve already messed up so much of the Spider-verse that they probably won't be.

So the movie is made for people who aren't hardcore fans of spiderman.

Gee, I was in a few days about to give spiderman a go on vid (since there was so much hype) but now with all these negative comments I think i'll reconsider. Maybe.

Re: What makes Spiderman so good?

I just buyed it on DVD. Actually I wanted to buy 1931 version of Dracula and it was a lot cheaper (I have dreamed of that for years...) but still I found myself leaving the store with Spidey. So there's got to be something...

Do you mean you never got the comics as in, you never BOUGHT them? Or that you never understood them? Because I don't see how you can respect the movie and not respect the comics.

I think the only comic-to-movie movie that ever really succeeded was 1989's Batman. I love this movie, and I think it is much better than Spider-Man. And I like Spider comics better than BM comics! I think it just takes the right director and screen writers to make the movie good.

Re: What makes Spiderman so good?

I finally decided to give spidey a go at the vid shop. Thought it was pretty good.....overall 7.5/10 because the scenes are too shallow and not enough big fights.

This was a great movie. Very fun to watch, much more fun than the Batman or Superman films. It's kosher to hate a film that made more money than the gross national product of your average third world nation. Critics will blast it as an over hyped sell out blockbuster. But I would suggest you see it for yourself. I enjoyed it a lot and look forward to it becoming a series.
