quick question

I love this movie, but how the hell am I going to get other people to like it?

At points it's just too slow to keep Hollywood movie people occupied. Damn it all to hell

Re: quick question

Who do you want to like it, your friends? Just tell them that it's awesome but it's a bit slow in parts. You have to watch the whole thing if you want to understant it.

Re: quick question

Liking anime is a plus, although Akira is not just an anime, it is a visual masterpiece.

It is so superbly animated that I can safely call it one of the greatest animated films of all time. Of ALL time!

Re: quick question

I just read a ton of Akira comments on IMDb so I already knew the plot before i saw the movie. Once you know the plot, you like the movie, I guess. Akira usually gets people into anime...

Lightbulb a bit slow

Yes, the movie was a little slow at times but the Gore and action that i did see made up for all of the slow points. But you do have to realize that they had to half ass explain the story of Akira otherwise you wouldnt know what the hell was goin on at the end when the blob master himself showed up. Hell i still dont get most of that movie i just give it a huge thumbs up. I started watching the movie from the begining then i left the room to eat dinner. I missed about a good 10 minutes and finished the flick thinking what the hell is going on. Finally i watched the movie again and i understand most of it. Just have a few friends over and pop the damn movie in and maybe one will stay and watch the movie with you. Then theyll tell the other guys the movie kicks ass and theyll be an anime freak just like the rest of us.

Re: quick question

Number04...if you had trouble understanding the movie (which I think everyone did their first time seeing it, because it really is confusing as hell) then this site is amazing at giving character analysis' and plot...hope it helps you out. Click the pic.
