Another Missing scene?
I'm a huge fan of this film and I've probably seen it 100 times if not more, but I'm beginning to think there is more than one version of it out there. The last time I posted to this site about a scene that I had just seen for the first time (when watching it on the Sci-Fi channel, I believe), a very helpful someone told me that I was watching the TV version and explained the origin of the scene I had never witnessed before. Perhaps I was watching the TV version again the other day (on the Comedy Channel), but once more, I saw a scene that I never witnessed previously. Maybe someone on this site can tell me about it ...
At the beginning of the movie, BEFORE Gary is upstairs shaving in Wyatt's bathroom, there's a scene with both Gary and Wyatt in the kitchen discussing movies. Gary suggests that a particular movie should have been made and Wyatt says it already was -- The Bride of Frankenstein. All the while, Gary is rooting through Wyatt's refrigerator. Then, he pulls a stack of frozen pizzas out and throws them in the microwave with the plastic still wrapped around all of them. Other things occurred during this scene that I can't remember because I was too astounded at seeing something new in the movie (again) as it was going on. Like I said, all the times I've seen this movie ... I've NEVER, EVER seen this scene before. Obviously it isn't new. Can someone tell me whether it was part of the original version ... was taken out of the final version ... whether it's a deleted scene ... etc. THANKS! MRB |
