FINALLY Spaceballs the sequel is in the works!

It's funny to me that in nearly every topic I see somebody claiming a Spaceballs sequel will "never become a reality" and so on and so forth. Well, eat hay nay-sayers:

From ComingSoon.net:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In a Q&A with Playbill magazine, Mel Brooks says that he's currently working on a Spaceballs sequel. Here's the clip from the interview which starts off by talking about the big screen adaptation of The Producers.

Playbill: Will you have a role in it?

MB: It's doubtful, but I'm writing myself back into the Spaceballs sequel that I'm now writing, so you haven't seen the last of my face. Why another Spaceballs? It wouldn't feel right have anyone else play Yoghurt and the first one was the best experience I've had making a movie since Blazing Saddles.

Playbill: When can we expect that?

MB: Best case scenario: a week before the new Star Wars opens. Worst Case Scenario: a year after the new star wars opens.

Stay tuned for more news on this as it comes. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith will be released in theaters on May 19.

TheForce.net is confirming this, due out about the same time as ROTS.

In a downer, I hear Mel Brooks may only be involved in an executive prodcuer capacity, not directing or writing (or acting!). Too bad, but he's got to be close to 80 now!

So he's 80, big deal. Look at Shatner, at 73, has a starring role on Boston Public, freaky but funny ****. LOL

Shatner needs to be put to death. Forcibly retired. Admit it.

Shatner should have died before doing those dreadful songs. Kirk would never have acknowleged them!!!

But a sequel? Hmmm. The only sequels that were any good IMO was Waynes' World 2 and Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. And maybe a coupla others but I can't think. I hope political correcntess doesn't destroy it because Mel is very non-pc ("ah great, that's just what we need! A Druish princess!). But like I've said before, we live in a world of retards who want money any way they can. Ah well. Sharky and I saw Spaceballs yesterday and it was funny! What did they say the sequel would be called? Spaceballs 2: The Search For More Money... or something! *^_^* \m/
