Red face The last "good movie" for Mel

Spaceballs gives me mixed emotions. On the one hand it is a funny and wonderfully acted comedy spoof on Sci-Fi space movies. On the other hand, it marks the last great comedy that Mel Brooks has done. Every movie, up to and including Spaceballs, was Mel Brooks at his comedic directing and writing best. Movies like The Producers, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles and Spaceballs was when old Mel was in top form. However, every movie since has been an utter dissapointment. Movies after Spaceballs, like Life Stinks, Dracula dead and loving it, and exspecially Robin Hood, Men in Tights, were all substandard dissapointing crap. Completely unworthy of being associated with comic gems like spaceballs. Oh Mel, what has happend to you? Anyway, whenever I watch Spaceballs I feel a great and then very sad, that this movie may well be his swan song for Mel Brooks in the annals of legendary comedic movies.
