I loved that movie when I was a kid, and I thought that the animation was really excellent, but I saw some of it not long ago and it seemed dated. I really loved it back then, though. Didn't Optimus Prime die in that movie? That was pretty dramatic as I recall. Is that movie pre-1985? I don't remember. I guess I could Imdb it.

The movie came out in 1986, and many of the regular characters were killed in the movie, Prime, Ironhide, Prowl, Brawn, etc.

And the only site I know of that regularly updats about the new movie so far is, www.donmurphy.net. Murphy is one of the producers.

I could something as busy and theatrical as the entire Autobot/Decepticon cast (or just Optimus and Megatron) ducking it out to something as simple and classy as the Autobot and Decepticon symbols catty-corner to each other.

I guess I have been bumping all the threads that are about the Transformers DVD but, that was the topic of discussion in my house tonight. We watched the VHS and my husband was so very adamant about the new 20th Anniversary DVD and how much better it will sound and the new clean video. I loved the movie when I was a kid but, is he going overboard?

no, he isn't, get the cleaned up 20th anniversery edition, or better still , sit in a dark room and pray for a hd or blue ray version, with even better picture quality.

because the 20th anniversery edition, is the next best thing to that.
