Did they really need to make a sequel? I hated the sequel, for various reasons. This is a sequel bashing thread. Enjoy!

Re: Thoughts

I agree with you . Sequel was just a stupid childish flick! The first movie was much more powerfull and it had a degree of seriousness. The second was just an exploit. BTW I hate when producers change actors and keep the caracter. It just adds to unrealistic sense of the movie.

BTW wasn't there a third movie? I haven't seen it but i think i heard something about it.

Re: Thoughts

If they did do a third installment of this horrible series ( I mean the sequel, the first one was semi-alright) it would be a waste. Like Jason X, they would be trying to milk out money from stupid people. What are they going to do, have Jobe go crazy again?

I think we are in agreement that Lawnmower Man 2 was horrible, and a sequel would be worse. But here's a wuestion. If a sequel came out, would you watch it?

Re: Thoughts

I've never seen the sequal, and I never will ... it would ruin the original for me Everyone I know says it was crap, and many sequals tend to be crap, so I don't think there's much point in watching a sequal unless it has REALLY good word of mouth ...

Well so did I, that's why I said watching the sequal would ruin it for me

I quite liked the 'spectacular' special effects in the VR-world - you know, where he kills that woman.

I loved that scene, it was so perfect. The VR effects in LM were good, they were less than good in LM2: Jobe's War.

Lawmower Man 2: Jobe's War was the title of the aweful sequel. I wish to a force beyond my comprehension that I would never had heard of it.
