I wouldnt say that it was all that bad, but sufice it to say the sarcastic comments I made whilst the trailer was running were completely justified.

It was a decent SF thriller. Not a brilliant nor an overly original one, but nice. It is one of those things that will probebly get rerun alot on the Sci-Fi chanel these coming years... but will otherwise be forgotten.

It was a decent rental, but it was missing something. Cool creatures, and special effects but not much of a story. I'm still waiting for a sci fi film that can match "Aliens" and John Carpenter's "The Thing". So far nada! I'm so suprised there isn't a topic on "The Thing". I love that movie, and the DVD is awesome.

True, the movies plot was simple "survival horror", you get a bunch of people , dump 'em on some strange planet and let them meet the locals, sounds pretty dull huh? For some strange reason i found this movie really entertaining, not mind boggling-entertaining more of a wow those creatures look pretty cool, i wonder what they eat-kind of entertaining.

Movies that try to come up with really cleaver plots can sometimes loose the audience eg Final Fantasy.

Pitch Black did pretty well , for a movie with a really simple story line.

..and it was shot in Australia *yay*

well i loved the movie, and i can addmit some of the acting sucked. But i think it was awsome, like i think the hole reson i liked it so much was cuz the hole riddick merderer ( i know i spelled it wrog.. don care.. i cant spell for ****) i'm kinda psycho messed up like that.. any way.... ah damn.. i'm m,ulti tasking right now and lost my train of thought...

I have watched this movie so many times I have lost count, and I continue to watch it every night (and no, I don't have a life, thankyou.) Every time I watch it, I see something new. That is rare in a movie. I am so involved in the Riddick Character, there is so much possible with a character that deep. The script (which I was unable to link to ) is great, not so much confusing that you get lost, even tho' some of the words lost me in the first veiwing ("what" kind of can was Riddick thrown into as a infant?)

Ok, first you've noticed that Pitch Black has it's own sort of language.. or at least, different terms. (i.e. shiv, slam, etc.)

And I believe when he says "I guess if it were a trickeration, he'd just X me out..." that "trickeration" is just another of Pitch Black's new terms, and its just a different way of saying a 'trick'.

"I guess if it were a trick, he'd kill me.."
