Hotel Scene
I really like the depth of focus on these shots. They are very effective in relaying Neville's solitude. Russell Metty was a genius and Boris Sagal was underrated ..

I love this scene. Was it filmed at the Bonaventure downtown or was it a set? |

Re: Hotel Scene
I never really appreciated this scene until you posted the pics. It is awesome in its simplicity of Neville just walking through.
I would say that it's a movie set. Towards the end of the scene Neville is sitting on a lobby couch and if you look behind him, through the revolving door, it looks like a painted background to me. Andy |

Re: Hotel Scene
Andy - it looks like the outside is real, probably filmed in WB's famous backlot.

Re: Hotel Scene
Mike, thanks for posting these pics... the hotel scene is one of my favorites. I also think the score during the this scene is the highlight of the OM soundtrack: very haunting, and appropriate, in highlighting Neville's solitude.

Re: Hotel Scene
I love that scene. I wish some more of these "fact finding" mission scenes could have been more a part of the movie.
