Re: 2010 Saturn Award Nominees: Best Fantasy Film
Alternate reality isn't necessarily fantasy. In this case it was clearly Science Fiction.

Re: 2010 Saturn Award Nominees: Best Fantasy Film
Ok I'll give you that. Also, The Lovely Bones? more of a murder mystery isnt it? i mean, i know from a certain perspective its fantasy, but the core of the story is murder mystery.

Re: 2010 Saturn Award Nominees: Best Fantasy Film
Mmmm, I imagine that the idea that the ghost of a dead person can not only view the living, but inhabit the body of her friend for sex is considered "fantastic."
thematically though, yes - its a murder thingy. but doesnt all fantasy deal in many and varied substantive themes, even though they deal with them in a fantastic environment? if not, is there a such thing as a "fantasy theme" in and of itself? |

Re: 2010 Saturn Award Nominees: Best Fantasy Film
I'd say all four movies Watchmen, Avatar, Harry Potter 6 and Fantastic Bones are great but Avatar is the best one since it's the finest mix of Sci-fi and fantasy since Star Wars.
Time Traveler's was disappointing. |
