According to what I've heard, this has nothing to do with Starship Troopers. Mutant Spiders, AIIIIIEEEEEE.

it's more like a remake of arachnaphobia...hopefully this movie will not only be sci-fi, but also a comedy, with actors such as david arquette (scream, ready to rumble) and doug e doug (cool runnings) this movie has high potential. (so did bats)

Re: movie?

I, personally, would like to see the movie being NOT a comedy. I really don't know why, maybe it is because when people see a preview for a movie with David Arquette in it, it is automatically a comedy. I want to prove people wrong so much!

Now hold on a sec, there is nothing wrong with a little Patriotism. Patriotism is a basic principal that strengthens a country. Without patriotism, nations would not have the inner support that is needed todetermine whether a nation is great or not.

yes but Patriotism is mostly the tool of demogouges and tyrants to controll the masses. While it ties a nation together, it tends to tear the world apart. Not to mention the fact that it is far easier to pick a nation's pockets while it has its right hand on its heart and its eyes on a flag. Airline bailouts are PATRIOTIC

as Deniss Miller pointed out recently: these airlines are getting so much pork from washington that soon the terrorists won't be able to board them because of relegious considerations!

Re: movie?

I am going to have to break the chain of command here and retort. I do not agree with you. It is entirely unfair to blast a nation that has gone through such a tragedy and say that when we are trying to heal, that it is all a power-ploy?

Where were you on September 11th?

of course there is nothing wrong with a LITTLE patriotism, but toooo much is just silly.

i agree with you on the tearing other nations part. for example those middle easterm countries fear the united states because they have so much power, it feels as though your locking them out of any chance of 'real peace' or organisation.

now 'free trade'. well i say what is George bush up to with not agreeing with the free trade thing. not only is it morally wrong but its just one of the many things that despite what it means to be a human being.

this world is all messed up anyway!!!

patriotism is just a shield to hide behind whenever 'real issues' arise.

I agree with Tim ... for the umpteenth time in this forum If you want to debate patriotism, it belongs in the mess or in a movie forum that deals with patriotism.
