Jurrasic Park 4

I hope JP4 follows something along the lines of the italicized plot outlined by xxx. Something with Neil and Goldblum would be preferable. And something that reflects JP on a little more uncontrolled scale (meaning the setting is no longer constrained to the boundaries of the park), would be awesome.

But I don't really want it in an urban setting though, I liked TLW, but the San Diego gig was a bit over the top. I would have preferred that it did lay it on that thick. But I think Velociraptors taking out some little village in the middle of nowhere coastal regions of Costa Rica would be cool.

JP4 has been pencilled in with a 2008 release.

Breck Eisner is possible director (I hope not as his CV in this area isn't very encouraging. Spielberg has been mentioned but may not have a free window owing to his committments to IJ4. )
No word on a cast as yet.

I'm surprised, given Speilberg's usual attitude to sequels, that he's signing on to even produce this one. Maybe he feels in some way responsible for the series, what with being one of its 'parents', so to speak?

Yay to John Williams, and especially yay to Stan Winston.

Now they just need a decent story and they might be able to rescue the series. Probably won't be as good as the first one - and do we really need a fourth one, actually?

I'm not holding my breath on the quality of this, sadly.

same here, although Im hoping lessons will have been learnt from the previous two outings. Im sure SS will want to make sure JP4 goes out with a bang with a rip roaring script, good leads, sfx etc. I have read that SS was quite disappointed from the critical panning JP3 got on release; and Im equally sure he will want to do a good job so that it doesn't stain his efforts towards getting IJ4 off the ground (IJ4 is due for release in late 2007 or even around the same time as JP4).
