Re: What's your favorite line?

I loved the whole videotape sequence.

"When did this happen in the video?"

"Now."

"What happened to then?"

"We passed then."

"When?"

"Just now."

Classic I've actually got the sound clip, thanks to a little site called SciFlicks.com. Sounds familiar ...

Re: What's your favorite line?

in case any of you are wondering mine it's;

King Roland: One.
Dark Helmet: One.
Colonel Sandurz: One.
King Roland: Two.
Dark Helmet: Two.
Colonel Sandurz: Two.
King Roland: Three.
Dark Helmet: Three.
Colonel Sandurz::: Three.
King Roland: Four.
Dark Helmet: Four.
Colonel Sandurz: Four.
King Roland: Five.
Dark Helmet: Five.
Colonel Sandurz: Five.
Dark Helmet: So the combination is one, two, three, four, five? That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard! That's the kind of combination an idiot would put on his luggage!
...
Sandurz: One, two, three, four, five.
Skroob: One, two, three, four, five? That's amazing! I've got the same combination on my luggage!

...we've lost the bleeps, we've lost the sweeps, and we've lost the creeps...

...that's not all he's lost...

====================
(after coming to a screeching halt from ludicrous speed
and Dark Helmet crashes into the control panel head first)

Sanders=Are you okay sir?

Helmet=Fine...how have you been?

Sanders=What now sir?

Helmet=Well...are we stopped?

Sanders=Yes sir.

Helmet=Good, how about a five minute break.

Sanders=Very good sir.

Helmet=Smoke if you got em.....

(falls flat on face)

Re: What's your favorite line?

Apparently not

Were the jokes too dumb for you cabalcomb? Or did the plot not appeal?

After all, it was - at times - not 'sophisticated' humour, and the plot was just plain silly, even for a spoof.

But then ... that was the point of the movie!!!

Spaceballs; a box office failure

In my opinion there was about enough good material for a Saturday Night Live sketch, but not enough to sustain a feature length film. It was not Mel Brooks' best work. I believe the film was a failure with the critics, most movies audiences and financially. This is why, despite the desires of some of its fans, that there will never be a sequel to "Spaceballs". There are No producers that would be willing to take the financial risk when the first film was a flop at the box-office.

Re: What's your favorite line?

I disagree, I believe that a sequel would be great. I mean, think of the possibilities. They did it with Star Wars and Star Trek, so why not Spaceballs? Just because you say it flopped at the box office, doesn't mean it will again. Even if it did flop at box-offices, it became a cult classic at home.

Fav. Line:
Helmet: Have you found anything yet?
Dude with the comb: We ain't found s***.

Re: What's your favorite line?

What I am saying is that since it failed at the box office it is extremely unlikely at best that anyone would be willing to finance the making of a sequel to "Spaceballs". There is no possiblity of a sequel until someone is willing to invest millions of dollars in the production of it. I do not see that happening.

Hey, they are making Jason X. If they are stupid enough to pool their money into that garbage, then they can make a sequel to Spaceballs.
