Thumbs up not as bad as you think

Sure, the movie has some strange and unrealistic scenes, but it is still entertaining and fun to watch. I enjoyed it, I didn't take it seriously and neither should you, just watch.

it's the fact that it went over budget and didn't make it up again that people think it is a bad film, which of course it isn't.

Re: not as bad as you think

It DID make all the money back, the profit just wasn't big enough to be considered a success -_-

Re: not as bad as you think

No, it was not THAT bad, but still not quite good enough to watch. And I am sure that many here can vouch for the fact that box-office figures hold no sway with me.

And 'strange and urealistic' has nothing to do with it. Its just a sad attempt at Mad Max. Take a badly mutilated version of the Mel Gibson classic, just add water (and a slice of Kostner ham of course) and there you have it: a post-apoc psuedo-epic thats just all wet.

Thumbs up Good Movie. Good Story.

It was a good movie! The most important thing is that you enjoy. Try to get into the movie, every scence, every action. Enjoy it. And you'll see it's a good movie.

Thinking back after I watched the movie. The story's amazing. Talking about our future. There's this possibility, we should really think on it.

There are two chances what we are going to be: fish, or alien. Either anyone, this is a cycle. Again and again.

Re: not as bad as you think

I hate to say this, the the only way the "waterworld" future can happen is if a meteor made of ice hits the earth. Or someone invents a rain-making device and forgets to turn it off . . . There isn't enough water in the ice caps to submerge the whole planet.

But you don't see me caring

I like that. A meteor made of ice. That would be a hell of a thing.

An ice meteor large enough to flood the earth would probebly wipe out all life on earth as well.

Wouldn't an ice meteor melt in the space or the earth atmosphere?

But I guess it'd still flood the planet I guess.

In both cases, it depends on the size of the meteor.

Re: not as bad as you think

I actualy liked the movie. But that is probably becuase it stars two of my favorite actors, Kevin Costner and Dennis Hoper. Though I think they made that little girl a little to braty.
