Re: Did you LOVE the EYE SURGERY?

i thought it was very clever and interesting. i never thought anderton would go that far as to have his eyes ripped out and replaced. (but deep down inside i figured he couldn't avoid it). i voted 'i loved it!'

They should have shown him at the end with two different colored eyes! When he dropped them my skin was crawling something fierce.

Re: Did you LOVE the EYE SURGERY?

good scene, but there is no reference made to revealing on eye b4 the 12 hrs deadline. Why was he not blind in one eye?
Or maybe he was and just didn't let on.

And why was doc so goood to him- i know he said he was grateful to him as he learned the new trade in chink but i felt that he came acrosss as cold and wanted to avenge himself in some way against Anderton- i was waiting for the attack of some kind.......

Yeah, that particular scene does beg some answers.
The eye thing,an undeniable loose thread.
On the Doc's revenge kick,if his actions resulted in his patients' death;would be picked up by the Trio.
His jail time learned him a lesson.

Re: Did you LOVE the EYE SURGERY?

I've had an after thought on Anderton's possible blind eye.
Remember the drug dealer in the alley way/tunnel? he whittled on about being blind and something to the effect of:
"a blind man can't see, but a one-eyed man can see more"

I held on to this as it made no sense to me (oh hold on it does make sense-he must have said something different) and wondered if it would make any sense at a latter point. Does this have reference to Anderton possibly losin an eye? and that he did see more as he saw his future with Agatha?

If anyone knows what the drug dealer said word for word, then plse post it. also any ideas what this really meant?

Pretty much the same here. I didn't like that scene overall, but it really fit the story. It also set up a real scummy underworld environment that contrasted the slick, crime free of the world we see earlier on.

Re: Did you LOVE the EYE SURGERY?

I liked the eye replacement. I realy like the doctor for some reason. I geuss I've allways like him whatever roll he has. The eyes rolling and seeing them in the bag grossed me out though.

I didn't get grossed out and I didn't think it was cool.
To me it was just another part of the movie that was nessacary to help it "flow".

Re: Did you LOVE the EYE SURGERY?

I understand my mom got a bit grossed out, but only at the part where anderton was chacing his eyes as they rolled down the corridoor. To me, this was the most hilarious part of the movie. Something about it tasted like a scene cut from the re-animator.
I liked the eye bit, and the scene in the gap is next on the funny meter. "Hello Mr. Yakamoto, how are those assorted tank-tops working for you?" -- It was great!
