This movie is also a classic. The only lame part was the "I'll be back" part. It was also cool because, at the time it came out me and my family were living in Bakersfield. It was just cool to hear my city's name(at the time)on a movie.

Anyways this movie was a good movie. But far from classic. As I have said many times before. If this was made as the book went this would be a great movie.

I agree. But the book's ending, powerful as it may be, probably would not be filmed today due to September 11 (Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have a problem seeing the book's ending on film, but I can see why some people might).

it was ok, formulaic arnie movie: not one of his best; not one that stays in the mind as say T2, Pred or True Lies.

The film also felt tacky and cheap in terms of sfx, costume and backdrops.

And yes it would have been difficult for the film to follow the book verbatim given the ending in the latter. But I think the screenwriters could have given it a bit more effort in the character-building stakes
