Pilot's Mess [chit-chat zone]
This is the forum to get to know your fellow pilots and the ONLY place to talk about everything else not really relevant to sci-fi movies, including your personal loves and interests. A true pilot doesn't discuss these issues while on duty.

Ah, Thundercats. We thought that would be around forever. <<sniff>>
Childhood wonder. It's all gone, now. Well, maybe not ALL gone, i'd like to think there's some left in me ... but it's a small hope. |

Re: ah... the good ol' days
Hey, who remembers Tugboats? It was from the makers of Thomas the Tank Engine and was made like that only with boats instead of trains...why'd they cancel that? It was good (never as good as Thomas, but then, what was?)
Yep, childhood, socially constructed, but great all the same. |

Re: ah... the good ol' days
Tugboats ... I haven't thought of that in years and years and years.
Hey, does anyone know about a cartoon with armoured ducks? A friend of mine was asking about it months ago, and it's evaded me ever since. |

Re: ah... the good ol' days
Maybe it's The Mighty Ducks about ducks who play ice-hockey (based on that film that didn't have ducks)...dunno if that's what it was called, or even if it's what you're referring to...
But maybe...just maybe....... |

Re: ah... the good ol' days
Hmmm ... I thought the Mighty Ducks was about kids who played ice-hockey for a team called the mighty ducks, but hey, what do I know?

Re: ah... the good ol' days
no predn's referiing to a cartoon by the same name, it has nothing to do with the films "the mighty ducks"
except for the name and they played hockey. and it never got a second series , thank the lord. |

Re: ah... the good ol' days
There was one where there were cats, the flew around in planes they built out of garbage. They worked in a junkyard.
And there was one called darkwing duck, which was a really horrible disney channel cartoon. |

I think you mean "Heathcliff". It had cats that lived in a junkyard and had a car that changed into a boat or plane. Weird...

Re: ah... the good ol' days
Hmmm ... Perhaps I should pay more attention to other people's posts ...
I don't miss the Smurfs. Not in the least. I DO miss the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon, though - far superior to the crap movie, imho. |
