Is this SF or Fantasy or Comedy,

or is it simply weird?

Saw this 1989 on the Island of Ios with greek subtitles and tequila served in the open-air-cinema, which (both) made it still more weird....

But anyway: Basinger is adorable, when putting on her alien stockings

Does anyone else remember???

This one's a SF comedy, and it's great!

Kim Basinger's great in it, Dan Akroyd is great in it, Jon Lovitz - even the token 'suspicious child' is great - but then, she IS played by Aison Hannigan (Willow from Buffy) in (I think) her first acting role.

I bought this on video for a whim, and was not dissapointed. I say again : It's great!

Yeah, probably even 7/10.

And the best thing/actor about it (apart from the legs shown as Basingers') ist the absolutely incredible talking interactive handbag!

I think I've seen this once, years ago. A funny little B movie. Basinger should have got a better SF role.

Why isn't there a forum for this movie? It's undoubtedly SF, and it's a movie ... hence it's a Sciflick, and deserves a forum!

P.S. This would apply to a lot of other films as well: Just look at Sleeper, Time Bandits, Zardoz, Tremors (just to mention this subsection).

I had a "happy chance" to see this again and I found out that weird looking little boy who asks Jessie out... OMG, that was Seth Green! Discovering that was the funniest part of the whole film.

I only ever saw it once and it didn't 'stick' which isn't a good sign, but then maybe was past the age to watch it for the first time???
