Fav scene

What is your favorite scene from Escape from New York? My is when Snake, Cabbie,President, Brian, and Maggie are driving on the road trying to get away from the Duke. But they had be careful of mines on the road. I also like when Snake Plissken was fighting that big guy in the ring, and their were using baseball ball
covered with spikes, and they had sheilds. So whats your favorite
scene?

I also like that fight scene in the ring, especially the big *clank* between the two bats when they hit

But my fave would have to be when the president goes ape **** on the duke at the end pumping him full of lead. "You are the duke! A number one!"

the entire movie was a bit cheesy dont you think?

I didnt mind the part where the President gets the tape, plays it, and it starts playing showtunes to the world council. .

Cheesy compared to what? It's no Oscar winner for sure(but what entertaining movie is) but it was a fun and entertaining movie with an interesting concept.

Yeah sure, that's why we call them cheesy 80s movies. Not that this flick was an 80s flick (was it?), but there's a certain, poliss (or lack thereof) that they all have!

Dont get me wrong, I did enjoy it! Having Isaac Hayes as the Duke took the cake.

Yeah it was an 80s movie. I saw it at the drive-in with my Dad when I was 11

Cheesy!!! Bite your tongue!

It rocked. Its an all time cult classic. One of my favorite movies. what did you find cheesy about it?

By the way - my favorite part was the music. I still have the sound track.

My favorite scene is towards the end when Lee Van Cleef asks Snake "You gonna kill me now, Snake?" and Snake replies "I'm too tired...Maybe later..."

Re: Fav scene

i like the scene with bob hauk offering snake the deal. the president of what? haha. i also like the shot of the survival gear they give snake. its weird, in the novelization, they actually give him amphetimines, or "speed", to help him push onwards
