Wally has been preneted as somekind of keeper there - like he is of course. But because the pre-cogs are humans and not for example whales, what is he doing there exactly?

I assumed the tank was there to dull and block out all there other sense so they were able to concentrate on their precog ones, even sleeping they remainded there, I doubt they ever left not even to eat etc. From what I saw, he simply checked their biorhythms etc as they were living in an aritficial environment, probably regulated feeding and other bodily functions too. Everything about their lives seemed to be controlled, as if they weren't allowed to do anything for themselves for fear of contamination or distraction.

He brushed their teeth too. I think he had an infatuation with Agatha. I honestly think it was implied that he may have done more than just feed and monitor her. He totally cracked up with Anderton took her and was curiously happy when she returned.

I thought that too. One odd thing: I didn't see any cameras around pre-cogs' area (was there - where?)...

They had the window in the pre-crime lab that looked into The Temple. Don't know about cameras.

I think it was mentioned that no one was allowed in The Temple but Wally. This is why he had a keniption with Anderton and the rest showed up. But, yeah, he seemed to definately have roaming hands when taking care of Agatha.

Well let me ask you all this, and this is purely a serious question....

If you were a nerd confined to a temple with 2 guys, and 1 girl and clearly had no love life, what do you think he'd try and do?

And so I think that Wally's ahh, umm, "obsession" with Agatha, just goes to show that there probably isn't camera surveillance.

"A"- Because it would distract the Pre Cogs from doing what they do.

"B"- Do you think Wally would really sexually assault a Pre Cog and know it would be on tape?

My point there TWL was that if Wally sexually assaulted Agatha. That there wouldn't be camera's in the room, because if there were, he would have been caught so fast.

And since there wasn't Wally was able to get away with it if he did it.

Ah come on people! Wally didn't do anything to Agatha, although I admit he had a strong liking for her. Wally probably thought things about her, but didn't act upon them. It's almost like a parent-child relationship, as he did everything for her.

Imagine Agatha's pre-cognitions if he had? She would either be scared or turned on. Maybe there's a porn version of this lurking around....

Although it seems that there's no censoring (or just a little of that) in movies nowadays, I doubt that Spielberg (or the writers) have cut off this thing from the movie but still wanted to leave some hints there.

If Wally was doing something to Agatha, that may have change nothing in her. The pre-cogs were on drugs and he said that they know nothing what's happening around them, they only see their dreams.

Wally, who looked very lonely guy, was obviously very keen on his work. And there's not a few who have never took even a pencil from their working place...

No one can doubt Wally's attachment to Agatha, although I think his sexual ability may be comparable to a eunuch's. I don't think the establishment would have permitted anyone harbouring sexual desires for the precogs to care for them.

Furthermore, Wally was really a wuss. A more confident man might have worked a way around the camera system 9if one existed), but he really did not strike me as confident in that way. Additionally, why must we assume he is a rapist/molester? he struck me as one of those people who pine away secretly after someone from afar. Never getting any, and all that!

But you do figure that as close as he was to the pre-cogs, he may have gone over and above in his "tender" care of her (ie, making very sure she was not uncomfortable), as a way to prove his adoration.

i think that was probably as far as it went. . .
