I love this movie!
My Dad and I rented it with nothing else to rent and very low expectations. And this movie was very engrossing. Visually pleasing. All in all it was an excellent movie. It had a 6th Day type feeling of "Are you who you think you are?" Because I really loved this movie. And well the ending wasn't as predictable as some may think, quite shocking actually. It also proves Gary Sinese is a leading man type actor. And Mekhi Pheiffer needs MORE ROLES! Truly one of my favorite actors! I love Mekhi on ER. And just a fun movie in general. Very engrossing plot also may I say again! 7/10 2 Phlub Thumbs Up |

Re: Cool Movie!
I agree with Phlub 100%
I have always liked Sinise, and gotta say, I have always liked the chick actor since she was a lead actor in that western movie Bad Girls. Mekhi Pfifer is a must love guy too. This movie ROCKED. dealt with current ideas in a futuristic way, and the ending was AWESOME. but then, I love surprises. And it takes a lot to surprise me. So when Im surprised Im like a kid in a candy store. lapping it up. |

I dont feel like logging in is my alter-ego, when I dont feel like logging in!
![]() Seriously though, the entire movie was about them proving their own innocence, and all the while they were guilty: unbeknownst to them, of course. I see several themes running thru this movie: 1) You can be an unwitting instrument of war. 2) You can be an unwitting traitor. 3) You can be insane and not know it because (a) you think you are one way, and in fact, the authorities are right, you are not to be trusted, and the only person who doesnt know it is YOU, and (b) the mentally crazed person's search to clear their doubt about their mental state in normal---but they are still crazy, sorry. So really, the alien force in this movie replaced the human people with replicants/androids with bombs. Ok--these androids had NO MEMORY other than the memory the people had before they were killed. In essence, the androids WERE the people. Seriously. So aliens can take your memory, put it in a box, transfer it to a new body, and you're none the wiser. Reminds me of: Freejack, X Change, and a host of other memory transfer movies. It is the exact opposite, however, of Face/Off, where they changed physical appearance of their own bodies. |
