Pilot's Mess [chit-chat zone]
This is the forum to get to know your fellow pilots and the ONLY place to talk about everything else not really relevant to sci-fi movies, including your personal loves and interests. A true pilot doesn't discuss these issues while on duty.

Okay - it's here - the OFFICIAL Sciflicks members' top 10 SF movies of all time.
1. The Matrix 2. Star Wars 3. Aliens 4. Alien 5. The Empire Strikes Back 6. 2001 7. Blade Runner 8. Predator 9. Terminator 10. Dark City This is taken from 35 "top-10" lists currently on the boards or PM'd directly to me. The scoring was 10pts if voted No.1 down to 1pt if voted at number 9. Interesting facts: The Matrix has almost twice as many points as Dark City. 21 (60%) people put The Matrix in their top 10, only 7 people put Dark City in their top 10. 110 different films were voted for by the 35 people. The films with the highest average score per vote are (figure in brackets are the number of votes): Dark City (8.1) Gattaca (7.9) Jurassic Park (7.1) Blade Runner (7.0) Aliens (6.9) Star Wars (6.7) 2001 (6.5) Return of the Jedi (6.5) 12 Monkeys (6.4) Brazil (6.3) NB: Only films with at least 4 votes were considered Only 25 films had 4 or more votes cast for them. "Star Wars", "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Jurassic Park" were voted the most times (3) as favourite film. Okay. Hopefully these details will keep changing as people update their top-10 lists and PM them to me. All registered pilots are free to PM their list to me - I'll accept anything. Please don't put down a series of films as one choice - split them out. So instead of "Back to the Future 1, 2 and 3" actually put them in order of preference. Cheers |

Re: Sciflicks TOP 10 SF films!
Great job Jove. I bet Dark City would have gotten more votes only if more people had seen it. (if I got the tense right)

Re: Sciflicks TOP 10 SF films!
Don't you just love pleasant comments from Unregistered
![]() Anyways, we desperately need some more voters - 'cos due to recent events "Predator" is now ranked higher than both "2001" and "Blade Runner". **shakes head in utter disbelief** Now I don't know if this is due to certain individuals who may be logging on as multiple users trying to sway the voting but I may filter out all votes from pilots with less than 100 posts. I haven't done so yet but if I see Predator climb any higher I will! ![]() |

Re: Sciflicks TOP 10 SF films!
Hey I have only sent in a ballot as Phlub. I have absolutely no other ID's besides the ones you all know. The ones I used to pop Sonny and 3years. And you all know those passwords.
Jove if Predator climbs any higher you must remember it was the most popular movie here and still is. But the Predator Forum here crashed. to see how popular predator is with SciFlicks fans... www.predatorforums.com Thats where all of SciFlicks posts their Predator stuff. But I swear I have only voted once. Either way every vote counts. |

100 is to high. How about if you only count the lists from members that have more then say 30 posts or maybe even 50.
